The parcel is also adjacent to another parcel that contains most of Beaver Lake. Green River Coalition (GRC) have previously worked on this land in the past around 2006 with the goal to show the public that we can accomplish ecological enhancement utilizing a pesticide-free approach that involves manual labor and dense planting that will generate a shade canopy capable of suppressing sun-loving noxious weeds

This site has done exceptionally well in the past but needs a lot of work as of now to be appreciated by the public. The invasive plants make it hard for residents or the public to access the park and enjoy the native scenery. While our pesticide-free approach has failed to eliminate noxious vegetation in the past, we are committed to learn from those mistakes and succeed.
